SUMMARY:The Art League Meet & Greet
DESCRIPTION:To celebrate the opening of the 16th Robert C. Shields American Series\, Whip Stitch: Quilts are Contemporary Art\, we are holding a reception! During the social hour in The Carmichael Gallery\, we will offer complimentary appetizers from Victorian Pantry along with wine and other beverages as we enjoy the music of renowned recording artist Bill Bosler playing the hammered dulcimer from 5:30-6:30. We will then move to The Warner Gallery to enjoy a lecture from the textile and fiber artist\, Helen Geglio. Her quiltwork is the featured photo on this invitation. After\, you are free to roam the galleries to enjoy all the textile exhibit and the rest of the museum’s art collection on display. To add a festive element to the evening\, please dress in quilted clothing if you can. The Art League can’t wait to welcome you! Bring a friend and let’s get to know the wonderful world of quilts.
